A cashier was shot dead and three persons were injured after six unidentified people entered a bank in southwest Delhi's Dwarka on Friday afternoon and fled with over Rs 3 lakh, police said.


The shocking incident was captured on a CCTV camera. The 90-second footage shows the robbers snatch the rifle from the security guard and beat him up. Thereafter, they shoot at the bank cashier and flee with the looted money.

Police was informed about a firing of a Corporation Nank branch in Khaira Village at 3.45 pm, they said. According to reports, four people barged into the bank for loot. Subsequently, they fired on the cashier Santosh Kumar. He was taken to hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said. The perpetrators fled on motorcycles, police was quoted as saying by PTI. Further investigation was underway.


Earlier, in Kochi, burglars struck two automated teller machines in Thrissur and Ernakulam districts of Kerala making away with Rs 35 lakh in the early hours. Friday, police said. Police suspect the involvement of a single gang. In the first incident, the ATM of a nationalised bank at Irumbanam in Thrippunithura in Ernakulam district was looted.


A cashier working at the Corporation Bank in Khaira village near Chhawla was shot dead by masked men armed with weapons, who barged into the premises and made off with over Rs 3 lakh on Friday. Police said five others were injured when the six assailants opened fire outside the bank before fleeing on motorcycles.


“The victim, Santosh Kumar (45), used to work with the Indian Air Force. After he retired, he took up a job at the bank. We believe six men are involved in the case and several teams have been deputed to ascertain their whereabouts,” said a senior police officer.

Samsung Begins Mass Production of 10nm 16Gb LPDDR4X DRAM   With the Galaxy Note 9 unveil just around the corner, Samsung has now announced that it has begun the mass production of its 10-nanometer-class (1y-nm) second generation 16Gb LPDDR4X (Low Power, Double Data Rate, 4X) DRAM.
